What gets collected
Automatically. Ordinary web server logs: IP address, browser, operating system, the page that referred you, the pages you opened and when. Used in aggregate to work out which pages are useful.
When you order or write in. Name, email, shipping address and order details — the things needed to fulfil and support an order.
Never. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, for any purpose, at any price.
Card details
Handled by the payment provider. They do not pass through or rest on our servers and we never store a card number.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site and checkout functioning. Analytics cookies tell us in aggregate which pages people read. Blocking non-essential cookies in your browser does not stop you ordering.
Other companies involved
A web font is loaded from Google Fonts, which means a request to Google servers. Order processing, payment and shipping are handled by providers who receive only what they need to do their part.
Your rights
Under GDPR in the EU and UK, and CCPA in California, you can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for a copy, or object to processing. Write to hello@alkaetide.com and we will respond inside 30 days.
How long we keep things
Order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require and as long as a returns claim might need them. Support emails long enough to resolve the question. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because payment is handled externally, the category of data that would make us an interesting target is not data we hold.
If you order or opt in we may send occasional emails about your order or the product. Every one has an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and using it never affects your order, your returns window or your ability to contact support.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Alkatide is not suitable for under-18s.
Changes
Material changes update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
